THE NEXT GENERATION OF VIRGINIAN LEADERSHIP
Our communities are in crisis. The status quo is simply not working. We need a new generation of leaders to fight back.
From the high costs of living to the extreme MAGA Republican chaos across the river in Washington, D.C. -- Arlingtonians are being challenged.
But Arjoon believes our communities are resilient.
As a son of immigrants, software engineer, former federal contractor, musician, and proud first-time homeowner in Arlington -- Arjoon is ready to fight for all of us.

OUR CAMPAIGN IS DRIVEN BY A CORE BELIEF THAT ARLINGTON IS THE BEST PLACE TO LIVE.
Arjoon is running to provide the next generation of leadership to make sure that Arlington remains the best place to live.
We can achieve that by:
-
Streamline and reform the permitting process for new construction
Ease restrictions on building apartments and mixed-use buildings in commercial areas
Convert vacant buildings into new homes
Let religious organizations build on their land
Let homeowners build accessory units on their land
-
Pass the constitutional amendment to protect reproductive rights
Pass an abortion shield bill that will protect people from extradition by the federal government for accessing reproductive healthcare
Pass the constitutional amendment for marriage equality
Pass the constitutional amendment to restore the rights of persons who have served their time
-
Provide emergency unemployment relief to all affected workers similar to the pandemic response
Partner with local businesses to place workers into new jobs
Invest in diversifying Arlington’s local economy to build resiliency in our communities
-
Streamline small business creation process
Repeal ancient Prohibition era alcohol laws that are making business uncompetitive for small local restaurant owners who have to compete for customers in the DMV
Pass sensible AI regulation and data protection
Secure investments in clean energy, medical research, rural broadband, and transportation infrastructure and create new good paying jobs
-
Challenge Dominion Energy’s 100 year monopoly on Virginia
Pass legislation to speed up the construction of renewable energy projects.
Let people build wind and solar infrastructure on their own land
-
Safeguard Virginia’s elections and voting rights by passing protections on election certifications to prevent rogue local officials from overturning legitimate election results
Safeguard Virginia’s education system and protect the independence of our schools, from primary schools to universities, from the federal government’s anti-inclusionary and anti-free speech mandates
Prevent federal power grabs and protect the autonomy of our National Guard by passing laws preventing forced federal deployment without express approval of our commonwealth’s government
-
Amending the Dillon Rule so that local neighborhood issues, such as banning gas-powered leaf blowers, can be solved by local governments instead of waiting for the General Assembly
